A community of Marist Fathers has been resident in the house since 1854, when the founder of the congregation, Jean-Claude Colin and his companions came to live in La Neylière.
The house, where the founder spent about twenty years towards the end of his life, is a place of tradition, reminding us of the origins of the congregation and enabling it to continue its work.
The Marists participate in the life of the house. They organise activities (information sessions and spiritual retreats for individuals or groups). They celebrate the Eucharist every day and lead morning and evening prayer. They are often joined by people from nearby. Visitors to La Neylière are very welcome to join them.
If you wish to meet one of the fathers, please make a request.
To know better the Marists and their works, you can visit Colin Museum (by appointment or the first Saturday of the month at 10.00 a.m.).
